It is now possible for international students in Australia to complete a Certificate III in Individual Support in as little as three months. This intensive program is delivered by selected training providers in Victoria and is designed for individuals who are prepared to commit to both classroom study and practical placement. Upon completion, graduates are qualified to work in the aged care sector and may have opportunities to secure employment in regional areas, including positions within aged care facilities under a DAMA (Designated Area Migration Agreement) arrangement.

• Despite recent protests, the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) has confirmed that the FY 2025/26 migration intake will remain unchanged from the FY 2024/25 program at 185,000 places, with a continued focus on skilled migration.
