A new trend reflecting changes in Australia’s migration policy

A trend in Australia’s immigration policy is to encourage people already in Australia to stay through skilled, family or employer-sponsored pathways, while making offshore applications more difficult to control net overseas migration. This means international students, temporary workers and other visa holders already in Australia may have better opportunities to stay.

Partner Visa: apply in Australia or overseas?

There is no right or wrong answer to this question, as the best option depends on your personal circumstances. If you apply in Australia, you will be granted a bridging visa, allowing you to remain in the country during processing period, and you will also be eligible for temporary Medicare benefits. On the other hand, lodging the application overseas may result in a shorter processing time. Besides, if you have ongoing work commitments overseas and are not in a hurry to relocate to Australia, applying from overseas may be the more suitable option.

A fast-tracked program that may lead to TSS work visa.

It is now possible for international students in Australia to complete a Certificate III in Individual Support in as little as three months. This intensive program is delivered by selected training providers in Victoria and is designed for individuals who are prepared to commit to both classroom study and practical placement.
