Migration to Australia

The Australia Immigration system offers a diverse range of visa types, tailored to various circumstances. Even within the permanent residency category, there are numerous subclasses. Furthermore, the Department of Home Affairs (commonly referred to as “the Immigration Department” or “DHA”) adjusts visa types and requirements from time to time.

Currently, the major categories include General Skilled Migration, Employer Sponsored Migration, Business and Investment Migration, and Family Migration. Each year, the DHA allocates a specific immigration quota, and each visa type has its own allocation. Taking the example of the 2022-23 financial year, the DHA had a quota of 195,000 migration places, increased by more than 30,000 on the previous year.
